Greetings! Early in my career I realized that one of my roles as a physician is to be a repository of helpful health and self-care information.
Our bodies do have certain basic nutritional requirements and meeting those requirements is generally a good idea. Due to many aspects of modern living, most of us are not currently getting those needs met.
I want you to know I feel a responsibility to help you see through all the marketing hype to find effective, safe healing options. It is a rare day when I get very excited about anything new. Today is a rare day.
Beyond vitamins
I have been researching vitamins for the past 21 years, have heard all kinds of theories, personally tried many different brands and have even sold a few brands in the office, but I never settled on one that I could really get behind. I didn't always know why, but none ever seemed satisfying.
Then it hit me…Vitamins are a food's active ingredients that have been concentrated and often synthesized, then given back to us in ratios and concentrations that are dissimilar to how they exist in natural foods. The other complex organic compounds and phyto-nutrients that buffer, support and complement the vitamins, are missing.
After years of consideration, I realized that what I was looking for in a supplement was a way to get concentrated nutrients in a whole food form so that we could have the nutrients in the way nature intended them. That is exactly what I found in Pop-A-Green and Pop-A-Purple, the products I am so excited about… Vitamin and mineral concentrates are very helpful, but balanced nutrition from whole foods could be used just as well and more naturally.
Unfortunately… most of us live busy lives and putting together and eating three completely balanced, nutritious meals a day takes too much of our time, energy and knowledge.
I'm a great example of that. Few people know better than I do how much good nutrition affects health. Even so, I still don't eat as well as I know how to, much of the time. Green foods just aren't my favorites, no matter how good they are for me… That's why I'm excited about the Pops: they respectively contain 23 and 26 nutritionally dense vegetables and fruits. Not only whole foods, but also the right whole foods (along with other valuable health-promoting ingredients)...
We don't know what the Pops will do for any given person, but examples of what we've seen so far include: improved bowel function and regularity, better quality sleep, weight loss, increased energy, normalization of blood pressure, fewer food cravings and alleviation of "afternoon slump."
